On November 24, 2008, during the “Heat v Houston” game MDJA Secretary, Doug Eaton, not in his traditional attire, and not in Court But on a court – that is – The Miami Heat Basketball Court, serving the youth of Miami-Dade County
MDJA is proud and feels privileged to have sponsored this event
Miamibasketball.net has been providing services to these children for several years. Our goal is to allow those children who can not afford to play in team athletics an opportunity to do so. We provide a means for the children to
learn self worth, confidence, responsibility, and team work in a safe environment. Our events allow the children to enjoy activities and keep them on a productive path. Our hope is to provide positive role models and foster a

Committed to Public Service, on August 29, 2008, members of the MDJA board, along with its leader, president, Dan Dolan, sponsored and served dinner at the Community Partnership for Homeless.
MDJA is committed to supporting the homeless of its community and the Board of Directors has committed themselves to sponsoring and serving the homeless at CPHI at least once a month.
